Last month, I helped host a dinner for 35 guests with a great group of women at Seaview Farm in Rockport, MA, to raise funds for the Rockport Farmer’s Market. Seaview Farm is a beautiful family farm that many know for its horse stables, but it also boasts beautiful produce, eggs, and grass-fed beef sold at local farmer’s markets. This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the delicious food the farm has to offer, while spreading the good word about the market. We were lucky enough to have the talented Esther Mathieu on hand to photograph the event – all of these photos are hers, and I’m so happy to have such a gorgeous collection with which to reflect back on the evening.
We greeted guests with a lemon thyme French 75, alongside:
- soft-cooked eggs with aioli and anchovy, or dukkah
- arugula pesto pastries
- house-smoked haddock rillettes with cured egg yolk
- chard and ricotta cakes with creme fraiche
- 3 New England cheeses, marcona almonds, and blackberry compote donated by Common Crow
A big thanks to our hosts, Ken and Regina Lane at Seaview Farm!
And much gratitudeĀ to our sponsors:
This was a particularly exciting night for me, as it was the first event of this size for which I planned and executed a menu. It was so fun seeing everything come together after a lot of hard work, and seeing what it takes to plan an event like this through all the little details to make sure everything is seamless. I’m so grateful to Heather Atwood, Sarah Kelly, Robin Swayze, and Jocelyn Pierce for taking me on this project and working together to make it a beautiful night. Jocelyn, you made the most beautiful and delicious cake! Thank you ladies for making it such a great experience, and I’m looking forward to hopefully having another one this fall!
Cheers to all who came and spent a lovely evening with us!
