A Bright Dinner in February

I so much love the colors of this meal that I almost don’t want to write anything here. Just let the photos speak for themselves. The beauty and brightness of so many super fresh veggies from the winter market bring such warmth and comfort to a frigid month. Purple, magenta, bright orange, yellow, and green contrast against the light snow and white flowers – thanks Emily!

Another meal inspired by the recipes on Cannelle et Vanille. Dairy-free (aside from butter), nut- and gluten-free, vegetarian. A wonderful night with friends new and old to start a tradition of cooking – and eating – parties. I suppose some would call it a dinner party. I think eating party has a nice ring to it. I’ll post my notes and quirks on the meal soon, but for now:

Celery root, Japanese sweet potato, and fennel soup

Creamy herbed polenta with Winter Moon Farm roots

Dark chocolate and roasted beet pudding cakes
